Tune in for the second installment of NCSL’s four-part webinar series, How U.S. Elections Are Run, to learn more about how states keep these lists accurate, and why regular list maintenance processes, along with providing opportunities for voters to update and maintain their registration in accordance with federal and state laws, are important with EAC Commissioner Benjamin Hovland.

Leveraging ARPA Funds to Improve Health Care in the Home and Community

Older adults and people with disabilities often prefer to receive long-term care at home or in their communities, which is also more cost-effective for states. The American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) provided states with a temporary increase in federal funding to improve care and support workforce for Medicaid home and community-based services (HCBS). States are leveraging ARPA funds to enhance HCBS in several ways, including improving infrastructure, addressing waiver wait lists, investing in the direct care workforce, improving access to telehealth, and addressing social drivers of health. This webinar will explore state strategies to support HCBS through ARPA spending plans.
