During this webinar, participants will have a chance to learn more about trauma-informed education from Jennifer Smith from the Marshfield Clinic Health System. Attendees will get the chance to ask questions and share about how their state is handling these concerns. This webinar is part of NCSL’s Education Friday series.

Decisions made in sectors outside of public health and health care—education, housing and employment, for example—can directly affect the factors that shape people’s health. Some jurisdictions use tools such as a “health notes,” health impact reviews and demographic notes to examine the potential health and equity implications of proposed legislation and policies in a range of sectors. This webinar will discuss how health notes were developed and the content they include. Respondents will also have a chance to highlight how they have used health analyses in their legislatures.
