From the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, patients, providers, payers and policymakers looked to telehealth to ensure continuity of care. All 50 states, D.C. and Puerto Rico modified their telehealth policies in response to COVID-19—but many of these actions were temporary during the declared state of emergency.
