Strengthening and Supporting the Oral Health Workforce

As policymakers across the nation grapple with oral health care access challenges, states have implemented policies to strengthen their oral health workforces. This webinar will explore the challenges states face in providing high-quality oral health care and dive into workforce strategies and how they may be leveraged to reduce geographic and racial health disparities. Speakers will discuss state actions that support the provider infrastructure, expand the oral health workforce through innovative models, and improve access for those in areas with oral health care shortages.

Interstate Teacher Mobility Compact Information Session (Dec. 15, 2022)

The Council of State Governments (CSG) is partnering with the Department of Defense (DoD) and the National Association of State Directors of Teacher Education and Certification (NASDTEC) to support the mobility of licensed teachers through the development of a new interstate compact. This compact will create reciprocity among participant states and reduce barriers to license portability and employment. The Interstate Teacher Mobility Compact (ITMC) has been finalized and is available for enactment.
